FOR ALFAS RUNNING TRACKSIDE
By Competition Secretary
Hello and welcome to the August Trackside report. Our third round for 2014 was held on Sunday 20th July and thankfully the weather was dry but still very chilly. We had a good number of Alfa Romeo members representing the club and best times were as follows:
DRIVER TIME
Andrew Scadding 1:22.39
Peter Axford 1:24.55
Joe Grilli 1:26.85
David Parkin 1:27.91
Chris Crouch 1:28.40
Paul Kloppers 1:30.94
Malcolm Ebel 1:32.05
Ian Barrie 1:38.69
Paul Connelly 1:24.42
Julie Crafter 1:33.59
Darrin Field 1:35.05
Plaques for round 3 winners will be presented at the August general meeting.
Complete results from the day will be available on the MSCA website once posted.
Despite discussions about making the meetings open, latest MSCA committee discussion indicates that it will be next year before the events become open to clubs other than MSCA clubs.
The day stayed dry and a number of drivers achieved new personal best times to their great delight.
Andrew Scadding achieved a new personal best of 1:22.39, Peter Axford was delighted that his new Giulia GT produced a result of 1:24.55, Chris Crouch, after replacing his 45mm webbers with a new set achieved 1:28.40 which was virtually a 2 second gain, well done Chris. Ian Barrie achieved a new personal best in his standard Alfa 75 of 1:38.69 and our new member Paul Kloppers continues to reduce his time achieving 1:30.94.
