Hello and welcome to the September competition report. At the time of writing super sprint round 4 has not been run. The results from the round will be published in the October magazine.
Sprint round 5 will be held on the 23rd October. AROCA is required to provide flag marshals for the round so I’m again looking for volunteers. If you’re interested in donating a day of your time for a free lunch and trackside seat please let me know.
Those who own a 2lt Alfa manufactured in or after 1998 don’t forget the Formula 98 category. Formula 98 is designed to maximise the competition amongst drivers by limiting the modifications permitted to your vehicle. Limiting the modifications doesn’t translate into limited performance, Andrew Scadding’s 156 JTS is proof of that. Chris Tilbrook drives his 156 to and from the track so why not you.
The results for round 3, held on the 17th July, were as follows:
|Modified Road Reg U3L|
|Modified Road Reg U2L|
|Slightly Modified Under 2L|
|Non Alfa over 2L|
|Non Alfa under 2L|
Motorsport events scheduled in September include
|25 Sept||Porsche Club Supersprint round 2||Mallala|
|25 Sept||SA State Motorkhana Championship||BIG W Moonarto|
Until next month remember corner speed is everything.
