CAR DISPLAY RULES
EVENTS
- There will be a minimum of three car display events held annually which will be open to all categories of cars.
ENTRANTS
- Entrants must be the registered owner or regular driver of any vehicle entered.
- Entrants must be financial members of AROCA SA at the time of any event entered to qualify for event awards or annual trophies.
- More than one car may be entered by any entrant in an event.
- Entrants need not show the same vehicle in a given category in successive events during any year.
- Entrants can not include any particular car in more than one category during any one year.
JUDGING
- The judges reserve the right to place vehicles in the correct category and their decision is final.
- Judging of cars will be based on the scoring system approved by the committee.
AWARDS
- First, second and third places will be awarded for each category in each event, and for annual awards, provided there are sufficient entrants.
- The places for annual awards will be the sum of all event scores for any given car.
- Annual awards include the following trophies:
- Philippe Reeves Annual Exhibition Trophy – for the highest points score in any category
- Tony Breuer Memorial Award – for the highest points score in Concourso
- Car Torque Show n Shine Award – for the highest points score in Show n Shine
- Club Car at Show Award for the the highest points score in any category at Alfas in Clover
CATEGORIES
CONCOURS
- Original and fully restored vehicles.
- Scoring based on appearance, condition and cleanliness.
- Deductions are determined by degree of originality i.e. the greater the originality the less the deduction.
- Additionally new vehicles will incur a deduction of 30% up to one year of age, 20% up to two years of age and 10% up to three years of age from first registration.
SHOW n SHINE
- Modified vehicles predominantly street driven.
- Scoring based on of appearance, condition and cleanliness.
ENTHUSIAST
- Vehicles considered unsuitable for Concours or Show n Shine, and designed to reward the owner for the effort made toward presentation, not the condition of the vehicle.
- Scoring based on preparation and cleanliness.
MOTOR SPORT
- Vehicles predominantly used for motor sport.
- Scoring based on appearance, condition and cleanliness.
